VIDEO: Cold snap for Wednesday, windy blast across Friday, Saturday and Sunday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Around half of the country has a colder than average Wednesday afternoon as this southerly change moves in and around 75% tonight will be colder than normal as we reach peak cold from this southerly change.

However it’s very short lived with Thursday bouncing back to normal for more regions, ahead of a very windy Friday – especially in the South Island where storm conditions are likely.

This weekend looks windy nationwide from the W to SW with another cold front moving in.
