We track an incoming wintry blast for southern NZ this Sunday and Monday while a low pressure zone exits eastern Australia with wet weather that will brush northern NZ next week.

Australia has a very powerful high to the south currently bringing cooler southerlies – it will take until the middle of next week to move more into NZ.
