We have a calming down in our weather but we have a bit of a windy Wednesday (with showers) firstly, then this evening the winds finally die down with a cold night ahead.
Over tonight and across Thursday many regions will be calmer and dry or mainly dry – but it’s ahead of a West Coast rain band on Friday, then a colder southerly on Saturday in the South Island that may again see some lower level snow (possibly down to 200m).
The North Island has fairly mild weather (except for tonight) up until the end of Saturday, but Sunday looks wetter and colder especially in the north and east as a colder S to SE flow moves in and a low possibly forms over the upper North Island with some rain.
