Make the most of your weekend while the weather is settled and mild – a change is coming next week. A powerful high is covering NZ for both Saturday and Sunday but on Sunday it will start to weaken over the South Island allowing a sub-tropical flow to move in.
This places the South Island several degrees above average by day this weekend. The warmer weather moves into the North Island more so on Sunday and Monday.
Next Tuesday a cold front moves up NZ with a burst of rain and wind – and for the rest of next week we have colder S to SW winds blowing through before the next high comes out of Australia.
