A high pressure zone will cross NZ over Thursday and Friday morning bringing a (very brief) pause in the windy conditions affecting some regions, and a break in most of the wet weather too.
A few showers here and there but generally dry nationwide – up until the next rain band arrives on Friday in the western side of NZ.
Australia has a lot of high pressure but the southern coastline has severe gales from the west in the days ahead and more rain especially round VIC and TAS. Some of the windy south to south west weather will make it up to ACT and into NSW as well.
