VIDEO: Big high pressure for NZ as lows surround Aussie

> From the WeatherWatch archives

High pressure will cover NZ until Monday bringing light winds and often clear skies.

This means daytime temperatures will have a chance to lift up from where they were earlier this week in the polar change – but overnight lows will remain low due to the high pressure system trapping that left over colder air.

Australia is mainly dry inland but coastal areas, especially Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Hobart and Brisbane do have some rain or showers.

Next week sub-tropical northerlies for some regions in NZ and heavy West Coast rain.
