NZ has high pressure moving in for the next couple of days, but this weekend that high moves east of the country and low pressure in the Tasman Sea forms. It encourages another windy nor’east squash zone for northern NZ, but at this stage doesn’t look too extreme. One to keep an eye on though.
Australia has a lot of high pressure – but also typical windy westerly cold front fronts hitting south eastern states – and that will affect NZ next week.
We also have a brief update on El Nino for our part of the world with BoM in Australia updating their outlook on Tuesday.
**PROGRAMMING NOTE: Apologies but we’re out of the studio for business reasons on Thursday and will have no video. Our videos return this Friday – see you then!
