NZ has the risk of a Tropical Cyclone next week but first we have a burst of hot, then cold, weather coming in.
The next two days will see parts of NZ with temperatures over 10 degrees above normal.
By Thursday some places in the South Island will be almost 10 degrees below normal for this time of the year.
It’s a very dramatic mid-summer change yet again – although not as big as the one last week. This week has high pressure calming things down. However next week all eyes will be on the tropics between NZ and Fiji with a high risk of a tropical cyclone forming and a 35% chance it may impact New Zealand, according to WeatherWatch.co.nz (up from 30% risk yesterday).
