Conditions are mild in the north of the country but rain and showers have crept in for some of the dawn services this morning.
Auckland is set for a wet day with heavy falls likely later. Hamilton has also seen some liquid sunshine first thing with a temperature near the 16 degree mark.
Wellington has remained dry for a period of time this morning with a breezy northerly and also 16 degrees.
After a warm weekend over the mainland, temperatures have certainly cooled today with Christchurch on 11 degrees with a southerly and Dunedin just 8 degrees with a chilly sou’ wester.
Overall today appears to be the most unsettled of the Easter break with rain expected over much of the upper north Island and cold conditions over the south and east of the South Island.

Makes me appreciate the pleasant Sunday had with family in the Foxton area – quite warm, some early sun. Won’t be so flash on Tues-Wed.
