A line of heavy showers has this evening crossed over Auckland with reports now coming in to WeatherWatch.co.nz of flooding and damage to trees in some central Auckland suburbs.
Heavy rain has been reported in Remuera, Newmarket, the CBD and Waterview.
The narrow line of showers missed numerous other suburbs as it stretched from north west Auckland to south east Auckland.

In Takapuna we had very black skies just as it was getting dark, and then fairly heavy rain for 5-10 mins – nothing much. But while talking to a friend in the CBD 10 mins before, we were told they were having torrential rain that lasted for 20-30 mins.
