TYPHOON SLAMS PHILIPPINES

A deadly typhoon is roaring across the Philippines and one of our Weather Watch photographers is there.  Rew Shearer took this photo of a flooded street in Manila earlier today.

Mr Shearer says he was on the 21st floor of a high rise tower and the winds were strong enough to make the entire building shake.   “The ranch-slider doors won’t stay shut – they keep edging open.  The wind is loud and the power is off”.

The typhoon has claimed at least 17 lives according to international media.  For more on this storm, click here: www.tropicalstormrisk.com
