TV 3’s Mike Hall will be stepping down from his role as weatherman early next month and Ingrid Hipkiss will be his replacement.
Mike has been with the channel for seven years and will continue doing freelance work.
Who would you rate as our best weather presenter either currently or over years gone by on the small screen?
Jim Hickey still seems popular however what about the likes of Penelope Barr, Sue Scott or perhaps you rate Karen Olsen as your favourite?…and we can’t forget about our very own Philip Duncan on Country99TV!
We’re happy to hear from you about who your number one presenter is on nightly weather across the TV channels.

Dan Corbett.
Karen Olsen is the only current presenter on NZ TV with a met qualification and experience.

I just use WW & Met service on web, TV weather bulletins are usually way off the mark, Phil does a great job with his regular NZ Herald slot.

My favourite was always Augie when he was on. I generally watch TV1 weather but as we now have WW & many other tools for weather the evening TV weather is really not that important anymore.
Cheers

Most accurate is Country TV and Phil Duncan 🙂 All could be improved with images not all graphic.
