Partly cloudy skies, a few showers move through Waikato and Bay Of Plenty from afternoon. Light west to southwesterly winds.

Showers turn to rain this morning, easing in the evening. Northwesterlies.

Eastern North Island
Mostly cloudy, spits about Wairarapa turn to rain this morning, rain spreads into Hawkes Bay and Gisborne this afternoon. Light winds.

Wellington
Showers turn to rain by midday as northerlies change to the south, rain eases overnight.

Marlborough & Nelson
Cloudy with the odd shower, a few isolated heavy showers this afternoon then easing later this evening. Light winds tend to the south for Marlborough.

Canterbury
Mostly cloudy, some inland areas may be a bit sunnier. From late afternoon cloud thickens and lowers bringing in the risk of a few showers, mainly inland. South to southeasterly winds.
