An anticyclone keeps the weather mainly settled for most of the country today, a westerly airflow does start to develop over the lower South Island however and this brings some drizzle at times to areas south of Haast.

Auckland & Northland
Sunny spells and some cloud, cloud more frequent about Northland especially in the east. Easterly breezes. Chance of some morning fog about Auckland.
High: 15-16

Bay Of Plenty
Sunny with light winds tending northeast in the afternoon.
Highs: 15-16

Central North Island & Waikato
Sunny with light winds. Fog patches possible morning and night however.
Highs: 12-14

Eastern North Island
Sunny with light winds, tending northeast in the afternoon.
Highs: 14-15

Western North Island
Sunny with light winds.
Highs: 14-15

Wellington
Mostly sunny skies with northerly breezes.
Highs: 13-14

Nelson
Sunny with light winds tending northerly in the afternoon.
Highs: 14-15

Marlborough
Mainly sunny with northerly breezes.
High: 15

Canterbury
Mainly sunny with light winds, light northeasterly breezes near the coast.

West Coast
Cloudy about South Westland with drizzle or the odd shower at times south of Haast, northeast breezes. Cloudy spells with the odd sunny break at times for North Westland with light winds.

Sunny areas and high cloud, light northeasterlies.

Central Otago
Sunny areas and high cloud, northerly breezes.

High cloud with northerly breezes, chance of a spot of rain or two around midday.
