The weather is stuck in a similar pattern tonight as it was last night, the low over the North Island is weakening though. The South Island is still just under a ridge of high pressure but a small system will make a move onto the lower South Island tomorrow morning.

Northland, Auckland
A mix of clear and cloudy spells with southwest breezes. The odd shower at times especially in the west.
Lows tonight: 11-12

Central North Island, Bay Of Plenty & Waikato
Any showers clearing this evening, then expect clear spells with fog or low cloud possible towards dawn. Light south to southwest breezes.
Lows tonight: 7-9

Eastern North Island
Mainly cloudy with south to southwest breezes, the odd shower at times.
Lows tonight: 10-11

Western North Island
Cloudy spells about southern Taranaki southwards with southerly breezes, chance of the odd shower at times. Clearer further north with drier conditions.
Lows tonight: 8-9

Wellington
Mostly cloudy tonight with southerly breezes, the odd shower develops too.
Low tonight: 10-11

Marlborough & Nelson
Mainly clear skies tonight although there may be a few areas of cloud develop towards dawn mainly about eastern coatal Marlborough.
Lows tonight: 6-7

Canterbury
Low cloud or fog tonight near the coast, clearer skies inland although expect some high cloud.
Low tonight: 2-4

West Coast
Areas of cloud, mainly high cloud with light winds. Some rain or drizzle about southern Fiordland by dawn.
Lows tonight: 5-6

Southland & Otago
Plenty of high cloud overnight with light winds.
Low tonight: 1-6
