Largely settled conditions tonight for the country which is under the influence of an anticyclone, watch for patches of fog developing however. A front brushes the far south of the South Island overnight also bringing a period of showers.

Northland, Auckland
Plenty of high cloud with light winds.
Lows tonight: 10-12

Waikato, CNI & BOP
Some high cloud, patches of fog develop mainly inland. Light winds.
Lows tonight: 6-7

Eastern North Island
Mainly clear, some thin whispy high cloud. Areas of cloud develops towards dawn.
Lows tonight: 7-10

Western North Island
Areas of cloud, chance of fog too mainly inland. Northwesterlies ease.
Low tonight: 9-10

Wellington
Clear spells, chance of fog towards dawn. Light winds.
Lows tonight: 8-9

Marlborough & Nelson
Clear with light winds.
Lows tonight: 4-7

Canterbury
Areas of cloud, fog possible. Light winds.
Lows tonight: 4-6

West Coast
Cloudy periods with light winds, about Fiordland expect drizzle patches or some rain.
Lows tonight: 6-8

Southland & Otago
Expect some high cloud and west to northwest breezes, light winds for coastal Otago. Overnight winds change southerly about Southland bringing showers, a few showers move into coastal Otago around dawn.
Lows tonight: 4-9
