It may still be mild in a number of places for Tuesday but a cold front arrives in the Deep South and spreads across the South Island over Tuesday PM and into Wednesday AM.
On Wednesday PM the cold front moves into the North Island properly but falls apart as it does so, reducing rain bands to showers. Some places may not feel the cooler air in the north until Thursday and even then it’s not significant for northerners.
Despite the small storm offshore from East Cape, this low is expected to be shoved eastwards by the next area of high pressure from Australia.
After this, NZ has a south to sou’west flow for the rest of the week (just like last Friday).
