Tropical rain coming… warnings issued

Several rain warnings have been issued for the North Island ahead of a low dragging saturated air down from the sub-tropics.

The slow moving low may dump almost 200mm of rain in some areas, according to government forecaster MetService.  The warnings can be found here

We’ll have all the details on this low in a special update at 6pm tonight.
