Tornado hits South Auckland

A tornado has damaged a number of rural properties in Ramarama south of Auckland reports NewstalkZB.

It struck at just after 11am around the intersection of Davies Road and Ararimu Road.

Fire Service northern communication spokesman Scott Osmond says there’s a least one house with severe damage to its roof.

Scott Osmond says a vicinity of around a few hundred metres was affected.

He says other constructions like glass houses were also damaged.
