Taupo, Tokoroa, Alexandra, Wanaka and Queenstown are looking at overnight lows of around minus 3 or minus 4 degrees.

Mildest

Kaitaia, Dargaville, Auckland, New Plymouth, Kaikoura,Dunedin and Invercargill are all looking at minimums of around 5 or 6 degrees.

Wettest

Risk of a shower in the far north overnight and possibly around Taranaki.

A shower or 2 along coastal Otago and around Southland is more than a possibility.

Windiest

Not too much wind is expected over most of the country tonight but sou’ westers could be breezy in the far south at times.
