Often Aucklands temperatures are over exaggerated (seems to be about 50% of the time) especially in the warmer months,the Herald which is believable has it 23.8,Both this site/tvnz (26).
The other main centres within less than 1 degree. ie Wellington 20.5(21),Christchurch 23.8(24)
Dunedin 20.4(20).
