Temperature in waitakere right now according to metservice is 25 degrees, and earlier today The temperature at the intermediate next door was 27 degrees…

Wouldn’t be surprised if parts of Waitakere reached 27 today – certainly possible.  Summer has finally arrived!

I think that the reason why 27 didn’t show on metservice, is because the place where they record the real time temperature for Waitakere is in Whenuapai .which according to Google maps is 10km away from the north shore, and 30-40km away from the ranges themselves. If metservice wanted accurate temperature readings for the ranges, shouldn’t they put a weather station closer to the ranges, like in Titirangi, or in Waiatarua (the TV tower)?
