Mainly settled across New Zealand today thanks to high pressure, a slight northwest airflow is starting to develop over the South Island.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny, Northland has some cloud though, perhaps the chance of an isolated shower in the afternoon. Fog morning and night especially inland. Light winds.
Highs: 16 – 17

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Partly cloudy, one or two light showers. Fog morning and night for inland areas. Northerlies tend northwest around midday.
Highs: 10 – 15

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny, gentle west to northwesterly winds. After midday winds may tend east to northeast for Hawkes Bay and perhaps Gisborne.
Highs: 16 – 17

Wellington

Mostly sunny, some cloud at times, north to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 13 – 14

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny, west to southwest winds tend north to northwest after midday.
Highs: 15 – 18

Canterbury

Sunny, north to northwesterly winds, tending northeast near the coast in the afternoon.
Highs: 14 – 17

West Coast

Mostly cloudy, chance of a shower or two. Buller is mainly dry with sunny spells. Northerly winds, especially for South Westland, winds may be lighter further north.
Highs: 12 – 14

Southland & Otago
Mostly sunny, some high cloud. North to northwesterly winds. 
Highs: 16 – 17
