High pressure keeps most regions around New Zealand dry and settled today, but we do have showers about the far south and for the eastern North Island.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny, a few clouds possible. Light southwesterlies.
Highs: 14-16

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
A mix of sun and cloud, chance of an isolated shower around midday, mainly about the Central Plateau. Light winds tend southwest for a time in the afternoon.
Highs: 9-13

Eastern North Island

A few showers, clearing later in the day with sun breaking through before dusk. Light winds.
High: 13-14

Wellington

Sunny with northerly winds.
High: 12-13

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny after a frosty start, light winds tend northerly after midday.
Highs: 14-16

Canterbury

Sunny after a frosty start, light winds.
Highs: 13-14

West Coast

Some sun, a few showers about Buller clear in the afternoon. A few showers about southern Fiordland push northwards in the evening. Southwesterly winds develop after midday.
Highs: 11-14

Southland & Otago
Morning sunny spells possible for Southland, chance of a shower, cloud increases in the afternoon with showers more likely by evening. Otago is mostly sunny, a few clouds start pushing in from afternoon, overnight showers for coastal Otago. Westerly winds, strong about coastal areas.
Highs: 11-14
