Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny, some mid and high level cloud. Cloud builds late afternoon / evening with isolated showers possible. Light winds in the morning then afternoon sea breezes.
Highs: 23-24
Western North Island (including Central North Island)
A mix of sun and cloud, a shower may sneak into the likes of the Central North Island and Palmerston North at times from the east, mainly morning. Southeasterly winds.
Highs: 19-23
Eastern North Island
Occasional showers, gradually easing from afternoon. Southerly winds.
Highs: 18-19
Wellington
A few morning showers clear then some afternoon sun breaks through. Southeasterly winds.
High: 17
Marlborough & Nelson
Morning cloud may bring a shower or drizzle patch about Marlborough then afternoon sunny spells break through. Nelson has a mostly sunny day with some high cloud, low risk of an isolated shower about inland ranges late afternoon / evening otherwise mainly dry. East to southeasterly winds.
High: 17-21
Canterbury
A fairly cloudy day with the odd drizzle patch, areas of dry also. Becoming mainly dry near the coast in the afternoon with some sun even breaking through. East to northeasterly winds.

West Coast
Mostly sunny with some high cloud and light winds tending northwest in the afternoon, chance of an isolated shower about the ranges late afternoon / evening otherwise mainly dry.
Highs: 21-24
Southland & Otago
Mostly sunny about Southland and central Otago, isolated heavy showers and thunderstorms move in this afternoon / evening about inland areas then easing later this evening. These types of heavy showers can lead to flash flooding in streams / gullies so worth keeping a watch out for. Coastal Otago has morning cloud with the risk of some drizzle then afternoon sunny spells. East to Nor’East winds.
