High pressure covers much of New Zealand today however a few weak fronts in the mix provide cloud and showers for some.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
A mix of sun and cloud, chance of a shower mainly in the afternoon / evening about the Waikato, Bay Of Plenty and possibly Northland. Many areas will remain largely dry through the day. Southwesterly winds easing and fading out later.
Highs: 18-20

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Morning showers then some sun breaks through from afternoon, southeasterly winds die out in the evening.
Highs: 14-17

Eastern North Island
A few showers about the Wairarapa push into Hawkes Bay by midday then Gisborne during the afternoon with a cool south to southwest change, showers clearing the Wairarapa by midday however not further north till later in the evening / overnight.
Highs: 13-17

Wellington
Morning cloud breaks to sunny areas. Fresh south to southeasterly winds ease from late afternoon.
High: 12

Marlborough & Nelson
Cloudy areas for the most part, some sun breaking through now and then mainly about Nelson. East to southeasterly winds.
Highs: 12-15

Canterbury
Any morning showers / drizzle patches clear, looking to remain fairly cloudy however there may be some sun later in the day. Southwest winds tend east to northeast in the afternoon.
Highs: 11-12

West Coast
Mostly sunny with light winds however expect some cloud at times about Buller.
Highs: 14-16

Southland & Otago
Any morning cloud breaks to mostly sunny weather, light winds tending onshore in the afternoon.

Highs: 11-15
