Periods of cloud and some occasional sun, cloud thickens in the evening or overnight. Northland is mostly cloudy from morning with the odd light shower possible mainly out east. Breezy Nor’East winds.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mainly sunny after some morning cloud breaks away, light winds tend onshore in the afternoon.

Eastern North Island

Sunny with north to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 26-29

Wellington

Morning cloud breaks to mainly sunny weather, northerly winds.
High: 22

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny with light winds in the morning, breezy afternoon northwesterlies for Marlborough. Chance of a light morning shower for Nelson then sunny areas develop, north to northeaterlies winds bring cooler temperatures.
Highs: 24-29

Canterbury

Mainly sunny with some high cloud developing from afternoon, a few spots of rain may move into South Canterbury by evening. Northwesterly breezes.
High: 30-32

West Coast

Becoming cloudy in the morning, the odd light shower or drizzle patch from midday. Northerly winds.
Highs: 21-22

Southland & Otago

High cloud thickens from morning, the odd spot of rain from afternoon. A few evening showers about Southland and coastal Otago as winds change southwest.
Highs: 22-27
