Thursday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The weather will be a bit more settled across the country today.

There will still be chances for precipitation, but most of what falls will be in the form of rain.  The deep south could see a few showers this morning.  Inland Otago should be dry during the day today, but showers could develop tonight.

Christchurch and the rest of Canterbury will get a well-earned break today.  A mainly sunny day is expected.

A few showers are possible for the West Coast this evening.  Nelson and Marlborough could still see a few lingering showers this morning.

On the North Island, shower chances will continue for the morning hours.  Some clearing is expected to develop for this afternoon.
