Thursday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

After a rather winter-like start, most areas will see a dry and settled day.

Our main weather-maker, a ridge of high pressure, will continue to slide slowly east today.

Generally, this will mean quiet weather for the country.  However, the onshore flow that will be felt in the far eastern sections of the North Island could spark a few showers.

Otherwise, look for a mix of sun and clouds today.  Temperatures are pretty chilly this morning, but should warm up nicely for this afternoon.
