An anticyclone is mostly in control again today although cloud still surrounds some of our coastlines. Auckland northwards sees mostly cloudy skies and freshening easterly winds, there odd patchy shower is even possible more so about Northland.

Mostly cloudy with fresh easterlies, the odd light shower or drizzle patch.

Auckland

Mostly cloudy with breezy easterlies, chance of a light shower at times
otherwise dry.
High: 15

Bay Of Plenty

Areas of mid and high level cloud, easterlies freshen up a little.
High: 14

Waikato & Central North Island

Areas of mid and high level cloud, sunny spells about too. Light east to
northeast winds, freshening a little in the afternoon about the Waikato.
Highs: 12-15

Eastern North Island

Fairly cloudy skies with light easterlies, some drizzle mainly morning and
night.
Highs: 13-14

Taranaki

Mostly sunny with some high cloud, easterly winds.
Highs: 14-15

Western North Island

Mostly sunny with some high cloud, easterly winds.
High: 15

Wellington

Mostly sunny with light winds, some high cloud from morning. Cloud thickens
in the evening.
Highs: 12-13

Nelson

Mostly sunny with light winds, some high cloud from morning.
Highs: 13-14

Marlborough

Mostly sunny with some high cloud from morning, light winds tend easterly
in the afternoon. Cloud thickens in the evening with the chance of a drizzle
patch.

Mostly sunny with light winds tending easterly in the afternoon, high cloud
moves in late afternoon / evening.

West Coast

Mainly sunny with light winds, some high cloud spreads down from the north
during the day reaching South Westland in the evening.

Mostly sunny with light winds, cloud may be more persistent morning and
night.
High: 12

Central Otago

Any morning cloud clears to a mostly sunny day, light winds. There is a
chance some low cloud may hang about some valleys for much of the day.

Southland

Any morning cloud clears to a mostly sunny afternoon, light
westerlies.
