Thursday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

A rather unsettled Thursday is underway.

Showers will be easing across the North Island as we go throughout the morning.  Many areas could see drier weather as we move into this afternoon.  However, some locations in the east like Taupo, Gisborne, East Cape and Hawkes Bay could see shower chances continue right into this evening.  A clap or two of thunder is also possible in these areas.

On the South Island, a few morning showers are possible for the far north.  Evening showers are possible for the far south and west.

Highs today will generally be in the mid to upper teens.
