Mainly settled and calm across the country today after a cold start. A ridge of high pressure lies over New Zealand.

Auckland & Northland

Any early cloud clearing to a mostly sunny day, light southwesterly winds. Some high cloud develops mid afternoon onwards about Northland.

High: 19-20

Bay Of Plenty

Sunny with light southwesterly breezes.

High: 19

Waikato & Central North Island

Sunny with light southwesterly winds, any early fog patches clearing.

Highs: 16-18

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny with light winds in the morning then afternoon southwesterly
breezes.

Highs: 17-19

Western North Island

Any early cloud clears to a mostly sunny day, light westerlies.

Highs: 16-17

Wellington

Any early showers clear in the morning then becoming mostly sunny by
midday. Southerly winds die out in the evening.

High: 14

Nelson

Sunny with light winds after any early fog clears, tending northerly in the
afternoon.

High: 17

Marlborough

Sunny with light winds. Could be an early fog patch.

Highs: 16-18

Canterbury

Sunny with northeasterlies developing in the morning after any early fog
clears, some high cloud from late afternoon.

High: 14

West Coast

Sunny with light winds, some high cloud develops later in the evening.
About Fiordland cloud increases from afternoon with drizzle there in the
evening.

High: 15

Coastal Otago

Sunny with northeasterly winds freshening from midday, high cloud increases
from late afternoon.

Highs: 13-14

Southland & Central Otago

Sunny with areas of high cloud increasing from midday, northeasterly winds.
Light northerlies about Central Otago.

Highs: 14-16
