Thursday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

High pressure continues to maintain its firm grip on the nation’s weather.

A little bit of an onshore flow may create some light showers for Gisborne and Hawkes Bay.  Otherwise, the rest of the country will be dry and settled.

Look for plenty of sunshine across the rest of the North Island.  A few clouds will pop about Auckland, but they will be harmless.  The upper regions of the South Island should also see a good dose of sunshine.

A little further south, the sun will mix with periods of cloudiness.  But those clouds won’t mean anything in terms of producing precipitation.

Highs today will be a lot like yesterday.  Lots of upper teens and lower 20’s.
