Fairly cloudy for the country tonight, winds are generally light over the South Island. For the North Island expect some rain mainly in the west, winds generally from the west however changing to a more southerly direction through the night.

Northland, Auckland & Waikato
Fairly cloudy skies tonight, some rain moves into the Waikato this evening then possibly into Auckland by dawn tomorrow morning. Winds mostly from the west.

Central North Island, Bay Of Plenty
Areas of rain about the Central North Island tonight clear by dawn tomorrow, light winds. Cloudy spells for the Bay Of Plenty, chance of a shower through the night mainly towards dawn tomorrow.

Eastern North Island
Cloudy spells with south to southwest breezes, low risk of the odd shower at times.
Lows tonight: 6-7

Western North Island
Areas of rain clearing tonight as westerlies change east to southeast.
