Thursday Newsfeed: High to the north, lows to the south, and here’s NZ, stuck in the middle with you

Warmer weather and high pressure are about to move into parts of New Zealand, mostly the north, inland and east of NZ.

The high pressure zone will track over the top of the country, bringing dry to mostly dry weather over Northland and the rest of northern NZ. However the further south you go the windier it gets. With a pulse of warm nor’westers out of Australia it means an uptick in daytime highs in NZ too.

Check your local forecast for more temperature, cloud cover and rainfall detail over the coming days – it will give you the most detail.

Rain looks to move back into Fiordland and south Westland tomorrow.

Many parts of NZ are now starting to lean drier than average and the set up over the next couple of days continues to do this, except for the lower western South Island.
