Yes, for our three biggest centres around the country the weekend is being marked by rain or showers. The wettest centre is looking to be Christchurch where a persistent easterly airflow is likely to deliver patchy rain or drizzle for Sunday. Highs are likely to stick around 11 to 12 degrees Sunday. Good indoors weather for sure.
Wellington is a little warmer and periods of wet weather will not be as frequent tomorrow but skies will be quite cloudy still, a high of 13 degrees can be expected with east to southeasterly breezes.
For Auckland Sunday sees a few early showers clear then expect sunny spells and some cloud with southwest breezes. Auckland is the warmest for the weekend with 17 degrees expected on Sunday.
Overnight lows are not going to be very low due to all the cloud cover about and the northerly wind flow. All centres will not go below 7 to 10 degrees. Our warm August continues.
