The New Zealand Government has agreed to formally investigate why taxpayer funded weather data is currently being blocked for open use – and what data could be freed up in the future.
It’s long overdue, writes Philip Duncan in the headline story today in The Spinoff – an independent media website.

Excellent article Phil, sincerely hope it all comes to a good result. Enough of this corparate bullying from these two outfits. We cured telecom, now Spark, which has had good results.
