The easterly ‘conveyer belt’ – Wednesday’s Weather Video

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The country is blanketed in cloud for most of the day on Wednesday, with an easterly system in full force in our skies, and plenty of rain and wind to go with it.

That windflow is set to keep blowing right through the week, meaning more of the same to round out the month – though the intensity should come out of the rainmakers over the next 24 hours.

In saying that, there will be plenty of rain and showers for northern and eastern areas – and areas which desperately need it after a mostly dry 2015.
