A pleasant day across the North Island although a little cool in the east. Over the mainland there was plenty of sunshine but cool and breezy along the south coast.

Temperatures were very cold in the south last night and tonight may see a little cloud move into eastern areas with temperatures not quite as chilly.

Kaitaia and Dargaville shouldn’t see the overnight low fall much below 20 with a little humidity as well.

Tomorrow much of the country should be dry however there is the risk of a shower in the central North Island in the afternoon but temperatures remaining warm and in the 20s.

Over the South Island, it should be sunny in central and western areas but a little cloud may hug the eastern coastline.

Todays top temperature was 28 in Kaitaia and the low was 15 in Invercargill and Gore
