Two thirds of the country today enjoyed some sunshine however cooler southerlies in Otago and Southland along with a few showers dampened the party. Ahead of the front, it was fairly wet on the west coast of the mainland but it’s expected to improve once the front moves along.
Tonight that southerly is expected to move north with a shower or 2 along eastern coastal areas and then up into Wellington and the east coast of the North Island tomorrow but generally weakening.
The top temperature today went to Christchurch with 27 degrees and the low of 13 was recorded in Gore.
