Today the south maintained the cool spell with a few drizzly showers in some areas but central and northern areas still felt a taste of the last of summer.
A cool night is on the way for most places and tomorrow shouldn’t be a record breaker in terms of temperatures either.
Auckland , Hamilton and Tauranga should see the night dip to around 13 or 14 degrees whereas Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin are looking at around 10 or 11.
Tomorrow the top 3 northern main centres are looking at the low 20s and the three remaining cities should be in the teens.
Todays maximum temperature was 27 in both Gisborne and Hastings and the low was 12 in Queenstown.
