It seems repetitive this summer but almost everywhere was once again in the 20s.
Winds were a little stronger with breezy easterlies in the north and nor’ westers in the south.
Tonight will be quite mild in many areas but a cooler wind change in the south should lower temperatures.
Tomorrow a little cooler over the South Island in eastern areas but the warmth rolls on for northerners.
Todays maximum was 30 degrees in Christchurch and Dunedin and Milford Sound had the low of 18.

Surprising the Napier and Hastings temps showed so low. We ran a weather station at a kart meeting today at Roys Hill, State Highway 50 and recorded temps in excess of 40 degrees with a max at 2.15pm of 48.2 degrees with 31.6 in the only place we could find shade with a breeze.
