A southwesterly airflow lies over New Zealand on Tuesday, conditions are mainly settled although there will still be areas of cloud and the odd shower for some.
For Northland we see sunny spells and light southwesterly winds, a few isolated showers possible mainly afternoon with the risk that one or two may become briefly heavy before clearing in the evening. Mainly sunny elsewhere in the west of the North Island with some cloud about, the east coast sees any early drizzle clear then cloud breaks to some sun from afternoon.
Morning cloud about Canterbury and Marlborough breaks to sunny spells in the afternoon, any early drizzle clears. Nelson and the West Coast see sunny spells and a mix of cloud with light winds. Central Otago is mainly sunny however Southland and coastal Otago up to Otago Peninsula has cloudy periods and the risk of a shower or two with breezy west to southwest winds.
