Temperatures are varied nationwide this morning with Kaikoura the warmest on 19 degrees and a puff of a mild nor’ wester is starting to move into a few eastern parts of the South Island.
Auckland has foggy patches this morning with a crisp 12 degrees but the fog is expected to lift to reveal mostly dry and sunny skies.
New Plymouth has a warm 17 degrees and Wellington is just one behind on 16, making it the warmest main centre.
Central Otago and the Southern Lakes district sees the coolest temperatures with Queenstown and Manapouri on 3 degrees and Wanaka and Lumsden sharing 4 degrees.
