Further cold temperatures can be expected for all of New Zealand tonight, frosts likely about many areas south of the Central North Island where skies are clear and winds light. The coldest temperatures will likely be about Central Otago through to the Mackenzie Country getting down to -3 to -6 degrees. Tonight’s warmest overnight lows will be Auckland and northern Northland.
High’s in the mid teens for many on Thursday, about the inner eastern South Island temperatures are warmer than normal due to a building northerly airflow. Parts of Marlborough may reach up to 18 degrees. Northern Northland is not far behind on 17.
