Tonight will be a cooler night nationwide with most regions leaning a little colder than average. As we head into Sunday temperatures do lift up and the day should be warmer than Saturday was in many places.
It’s not an overly hot day anywhere but those in Southland and Otago should especially enjoy the bounce back in warmth.
As we head into Sunday night windier westerlies in the South Island should help lift overnight temperatures up further while some parts of Northland and northern Hawke’s Bay/Gisborne may lean a little cooler than usual.
Below are the nationwide Departure from Normal Temperature maps – but remember, to get a very local temperature refer to our 10 day, hourly, forecast for your specific location. Also – RuralWeather.co.nz has more free open weather data for NZ than any other website on earth, so check it out for unique temperature maps for your specific location in NZ. (Please note, it takes 10 seconds to load the page for the first time due to so much data – we’re working hard to speed this up in the near future).
