High pressure is anchoring itself over New Zealand for several days promising plenty of mild afternoons and light winds, but still some cooler nights/mornings and the risk of heavy afternoon downpours.
As for Sunday itself, not a lot to talk about really – the weather is looking very settled today.
There are a few shower/downpour risks late in the day, these will be in places like eastern Southland, inland eastern Otago, Manwatu, and maybe Waikato.
It will should be dry elsewhere.
The eastern side of New Zealand will be colder than average today for this time of year, but it will be warmer than average in Bay of Plenty, the West Coast and Queenstown.
HIGHS: 16 to 22
