Upper North Island

Rain this morning with northerlies, easing to showers by midday with a west to southwest change. A few sunny spells may sneak in during the afternoon also. About the Bay Of Plenty heavy falls are possible this morning.

Lower North Island

High cloud with northerly winds, some rain about northern Taranaki and the Central North Island from this morning then clearing in the evening.

Upper South Island

A few brief morning showers about Nelson and Marlborough then clearing, expect high cloud otherwise with light winds.

Lower South Island

Chance of an early shower otherwise expect a mix of sunny and cloudy spells with light winds.
