Sunday’s national forecast

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Today is looking like a similar set up to Saturday with rain expected to continue to tumble down about the West coast with a few lighter falls possible elsewhere across the Mainland.

Much of the North Island is looking dry and quite pleasant however the odd shower in the west could be lurking, especially later in the day.

Winds are mostly coming in from the north but a late southerly tonight looks to push in across the south with temperatures falling and winds on the increase.

Temperatures overall are looking a little higher than usual for early June, especially in eastern areas from Gisborne down to North Otago.

Tomorrow is still looking fairly bleak across eastern and southern districts of the Mainland with showers or rainy skies at times and cold southerly winds.

The northern half of the country is also see a few showers form as a low approaches the west of the North Island.
