Cloudy spells for the west of the North Island today, also including Bay Of Plenty with northwesterly breezes, a little brisk at times. Expect showers now and then and a few may be briefly heavy and even thundery in the afternoon, mainly about and south of Auckland. Sunny spells will appear from time to time. Expect high’s around 15 degrees about the Central North Island through to 20 degrees for other regions.
Expect mostly sunny weather about Gisborne and Hawkes Bay with light winds tending northwest, high’s sitting around the 20 degree mark. Areas of cloud increase about Wairarapa this morning and showers develop in the afternoon as southerlies freshen.
Fairly cloudy about the capital today with light winds tending southerly in the afternoon, the odd shower at times and temperatures reaching the mid teens.
Cloudy along the east coast of the South Island, expect areas of patchy rain or drizzle. Winds tend southerly or southeast. Temperatures between 11 to 14 degrees.
Cloudy for Southland and inland Central Otago, the odd light shower at times. Winds from the east and highs in the low teens.
Fairly cloudy skies along the West Coast of the South Island and about Nelson, winds generally light from the south or southeast. The odd shower possible at times too but mainly for areas north of North Westland.
